William Cecil Harrington

William Cecil Harrington was born December 31, 1949 in Unionville, Missouri the son of Robert and Eileen (McCloud) Harrington.
Bill was raised in the Cincinnati, Iowa and Centerville, Iowa areas and graduated from high school in 1967. Following high school, he was inducted into the United States Army. Bill served 2 years during Vietnam before his honorable discharge. He worked for Vermeer Corporation, in Pella, for 38 years prior to retirement. Bill was proud of his work as a group leader in plant 2. He even helped design and build the first round baler.
Bill passed away Thursday, July 9, 2020 at the Comfort House, in Pella, at the age of 70 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bobby and sister, Sharon.
Bill is survived by a sister, many step-children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and other family members and friends.
A visitation for Bill Harrington, age 70 of Knoxville, will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, July 13, 2020 at the Bybee & Davis Funeral Home. Burial, with Military Honors, will be Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at 12:30 p.m. at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Adel, Iowa. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Pella.
