Toni J Collins

Toni Jill Collins was born May 30, 1950 in Des Moines, Iowa the daughter of Ernest and Fern (Lester) Beck.
She was raised in Carlisle and graduated from Carlisle High School with the Class of 1968. Following graduation, Toni attended and graduated from A.I.B. She worked at Banker’s Life then Sparks Communication before accepting a job at the Iowa Air National Guard. She retired as a financial administrator in 2010.
Toni was united in marriage to Dale Collins on November 12, 1971. The couple made their home in Pleasantville where they raised their two daughters. In her spare time, Toni enjoyed camping and fishing. She and Dale have wintered in Texas for 10 years and thoroughly enjoyed the many friends they have made. Toni greatest joy in life was her family, and she especially loved her grandchildren and attending all their events.
Toni passed away Sunday, September 13, 2020 at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center, in Des Moines, at the age of 70 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Pam.
Those left to cherish Toni’s memory include her husband, Dale; daughters: Heather (Jon) Goode and Shanna (Kris) Gibson; 3 grandchildren: Peyton (Travis), Piper and Shaden; 2 sisters: Rosalie and Jacque and many other family members and friends.
Toni has been cremated and a private family graveside service with burial in Pleasantville Cemetery was held. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Webb Shadle Library.
