Theresa Ann Lee

Theresa Ann Lee was born January 11, 1932 in Pershing, Iowa the daughter of Andrew Albert Sedlock, Sr. and Mary Catherine (O’Brien) Sedlock.
Theresa was raised in Pershing and graduated from Attica High School with the Class of 1950. She was united in marriage to Bobby Ray Lee of Davenport. The couple made their home in Davenport until Bob passed away from leukemia at the age of 24. Theresa managed the Van Café in Marengo, Iowa for a few years and then worked at the Marion County Courthouse in the driver’s license office.
In her spare time, Theresa enjoyed crocheting and making things for her grandchildren. Her grandchildren were a great source of pride and enjoyment for Theresa.
Theresa passed away Friday, June 4, 2021 at West Ridge Nursing & Rehab at the age of 89 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and siblings: Reva Sego, Albert Sedlock, Jr. and Joe Sedlock.
Those left to cherish Theresa’s memory include her daughters: Sherry (Roy) VerWoert and Candace (Todd) Hoch; grandchildren: Heather (Kurt) Dunkin, Whitney Hoch, Tyler Hoch and Haley Hoch; great-grandchildren: Kade Dunkin and Rylee Dunkin; sister, Francine Essick and many other family members and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Theresa Lee, age 89 of Pershing, will be held Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church. The family will receive friends at the church from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church Tuesday evening with a Rosary Service to follow. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Albia. Memorials may be made to Suncrest Hospice.
