Terry Lee Robison
January 30, 1952 — June 15, 2021
Terry Lee Robison was born January 30, 1952 in South English, Iowa the son of Roy and Helen (Clubb) Robison.
He was raised in the English Valley area and graduated from Keota high School. Terry farmed and raised draft horses most of his life and had lived in Keosauqua, Bloomfield, Marengo and South English, Iowa. He loved training and raising horses and farmed with a team. On December 19, 1992 he was united in marriage to Judy Haus in Oskaloosa, Iowa. Terry retired from farming in 1998 and took a job with Kinze and later with Williamsburg Manufacturing. In 2001 Terry was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, but continued to work until 2007. Despite the effects of MS on his health Terry always strived to be as independent and helpful as he could. Terry and Judy have spent their retirement years on their homestead west of Bussey, Iowa.
Terry loved horses and mainly raised Percherons. He enjoyed going to the Kalona draft horse sales where he would visit and laugh with old friends. He made numerous lifelong friends through the years. Many kids fondly remember a horse drawn wagon ride with Terry. In his spare time, Terry also enjoyed playing dominos, the You Might Be a Redneck game, cat-fishing, and visiting with family and friends. Terry made the most delicious homemade ice cream for birthdays and family picnics with the Fays. Terry loved to laugh, his eyes would sparkle and he would laugh until tears ran down his face.
Terry passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at his home at the age of 69 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Helen and Roy Robison.
Those left to cherish Terry’s memory include his wife, Judy; his twin brother, Larry and wife Carol of Fairfield, Iowa; their dear friends Tom and Dee Fay and family of Bussey, Iowa; step-daughters and step grandchildren and numerous other family members and friends.
A Funeral service for Terry Robison, age 69, of Bussey will be held Thursday, June 24, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Independent Bible Church in Bussey. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Carlisle City Cemetery, Carlisle, Iowa. Memorials may be made to the Independent Bible Church.
