Stephanie Rae Josephsen became an angel on September 7, 2020 surrounded by her loving family after battling cancer for some time.
Stephanie was born November 27, 1967 in Des Moines, Iowa the daughter of Phillip and Judy (Bender) Watkins. Stephanie and her family moved to California in 1978 and while living there she met her future husband, Rick Jerome Josephsen. The couple were united in marriage on November 22, 1986. They moved back to Iowa in 2010.
As a young woman, Stephanie worked as a model, she was signed by Wilhelmina Talent Agency at the age of 15. Stephanie appeared in many magazines, such as Teen Vogue, Elle, and many others. She happily ended her modeling career when she met the rock-and-roll star, Rick Josephsen. In her spare time, Stephanie enjoyed playing cards and other games - as long as she was with her beloved family.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Bill and Vivian Watkins and Elmo and Faye Bender.
Those left to cherish Stephanie’s memory include her husband, Rick; son, Jeremy (Melissa) of Las Vegas, Nevada; her parents, Phil and Judy Watkins; brothers: Donald and Phillip “Skip” Watkins both of Swan, Iowa; sisters: Wendy (Gregg) McAfee of Palmdale, California and Mary Kay (Randy) Morris of Ankeny, Iowa; mother-in-law, Barbara Raney of Dubuque, Iowa; brothers-in-law: Steve Whiteside, and Jeff and Danny Josephsen all of California and many nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
