Stacy Lynn Scovel

Stacy Lynn Scovel was born June 19, 1983 at Ellsworth Air Force Base, South Dakota the daughter of Chris Scovel and Rhonda (Heaberlin) Krohn.
Stacy graduated from Prairie City Monroe High School in 2001. She then attended DMACC and Mercy Health Sciences College. From this education she obtained CNA and phlebotomy certificates.
Stacy was a fun loving, energetic person. She was the life of the party and the biggest duck in the puddle. Stacy’s greatest joy was Riley James and Hailey Jade. She also had the love of her life, Dan. Stacy had a fur baby, Frank, that she treated like a child. When Stacy loved it was unconditional and you knew where you stood with her. Stacy was quite opinionated and a lot of times she would make people laugh because of those opinions.
Stacy passed away Friday, May 28, 2021 at her home at the age of 37 years.
Stacy was preceded in death by her brother, David Alan Scovel; maternal grandfather, Larry Heaberlin and paternal grandparents, Lawrence “Bud” and Betty Scovel.
Those left to cherish Stacy’s memory include her son, Riley James Stelly; daughter, Hailey Jade Stelly; the love of her life, Dan Short; step-sons, Dylan and Devon Short; mother, Rhonda (John) Krohn; father, Chris Scovel; sisters, Denise Scovel and Jessica Scovel; maternal grandmother, Karen (Wendell) Caulkins; five nieces and fur baby, Frank.
