Sharon Sinnard

Sharon Ann Sinnard was born July 4, 1943 in Pleasantville, Iowa the daughter of Burl and Ethel (Taylor) Blodgett. She was married and divorced from Gary Sinnard (deceased).
She graduated from Pleasantville High School and later attended the University of Iowa earning a BSN and Juris Doctorate (law degree).
She worked in the Quad Cities as a nurse at Genesis Health systems for over 20 years before becoming an independent local attorney. As an attorney she often worked as public defender for those that were in need. Eventually winning an award for her pro-bono / public defender contributions to the community.
Sharon passed away Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Carlisle Care Center, in Carlisle, Iowa, at the age of 78 years.
In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by an infant sister, Donna Fae; sister, Esther Thornburg, and a brother, Dr. Gary Blodgett.
Survivors include her children: Stacey Green of Bettendorf, Iowa and her children: Chris, Justin, Shari, and Lisa; Darrin Sinnard of Davenport, Iowa and his children: Grace and Jack; Marci (Desmon) Williams of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Erik (Michelle) Sinnard of Wilmington, North Carolina; nieces, nephews, and many other family members and friends.
Donations in lieu of flowers and memorials may be made in her name via the Mason Funeral Home to NAMI (National Association of Mental Illness).
A visitation for Sharon Sinnard, age 78 of Carlisle, Iowa, will be held Friday, September 10, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Mason Funeral Home in Pleasantville, Iowa. Private burial will be at Sandyville Cemetery.
