Sandra Gutierrez Salazar was born April 19, 1961 in Corpus Christi, Texas the daughter of Alex Gutierrez, Sr. and Dolores (Blanco) Gutierrez.
She was raised in Texas and California and lived there until moving to Knoxville, Iowa 6 years ago. Sandra was united in marriage to Mario Salazar in 1979.
Sandra was an artistic person and enjoyed making crafts. She loved watching football and was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan. She also enjoyed collecting Cowboys merchandise.
Sandra passed away Saturday, April 6, 2024 at the Knoxville Hospital & Clinics, in Knoxville, Iowa, at the age of 62 years.
She was preceded in death by her father, Alex, Sr.; infant daughter, Dolores and siblings: Alex, Jr., Patsy and Debbie.
Those left to cherish Sandra’s memory include her husband, Mario; children: Elizabeth, Mario, Jr., Marco and Rachael; siblings: Elsa, Ave, Lupe and Steve and many other family members and friends.
