Ruby June Aduddell

A Celebration of Life Service for Ruby June Aduddell age 90 of Pleasantville will be held on Thursday, August 21 at 1:00 p.m. at the Mason Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will follow in the Pleasantville Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Pleasantville EMS. June worked for Allied Insurance prior to retirement. She is survived by her children: Susan (Louie) Plude of Des Moines, Steve (Tina) Lehman of Branson, MO, Robert (Tammie) Lehman of Nevada, IA and JoEllen Aduddell of Des Moines; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John.
Ruby June Aduddell was born June 28, 1924 in Norwalk, Iowa the daughter of Lewis Harold Cue and Mildred Viola (Colclazier) Cue.
She graduated from Norwalk High School. June worked at Allied Insurance Company, in Des Moines, for several years as an underwriter and in the claims department. On June 28, 1974 she was united in marriage to John Aduddell. After living in Des Moines for several years June and John moved to Brownsville, Texas and later to Pleasantville, Iowa, where they were able to enjoy many happy years of retirement.
During retirement years, June and John traveled throughout the United States. She also spent much of her time sewing handmade quilts. Her creations were one of a kind and have been enjoyed by many friends and family as gifts from June.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, John in 2011.
Those left to honor June’s memory include her children: Susan (Louie) Plude of Des Moines, Steve (Tina) Lehman of Branson, MO, Robert (Tammie) Lehman of Nevada, IA and JoEllen Aduddell of Des Moines; nine grandchildren: Shelly Plude, Kathy Denning, Michelle Waters, Jill Bolin, Tiffiney McCollough, Amber Ogren, Kyle Lehman, Andrew Aduddell and Katy Aduddell; ten great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren and many other family members and friends.
