Roger Alan Jones

Roger Alan Jones was born January 15, 1953 in Des Moines, Iowa the son of Frank E. and Ruth C. (Gardner) Jones.
Roger was raised in the Torrance, California area where he graduated from high school. Following high school, he enlisted in the United States Army. Following his honorable discharge, Roger moved to Des Moines, Iowa to be near his parents. Prior to retirement, he worked for Stone Container, Tone’s Spices and Coca-Cola. He enjoyed his home on Peyton Street in Des Moines until moving to Pleasantville in 2008 to help his mother.
In his spare time, Roger enjoyed flea markets, collecting antique toys and tinkering on cars in his garage. He also enjoyed dining out with his family and cooking for his family.
Roger passed away Friday, February 18, 2022 at his home, in Pleasantville, at the age of 69 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Those left to honor Roger’s memory include his daughters: Sarah Owen, Victoria Dugan, Jami Kasemeier and Alizabeth Holmes; 17 grandchildren and many other family members and friends.
A Funeral Service for Roger Jones, age 69 of Pleasantville, will be held Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Mason Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial, with Military Honors, will be in the Pleasantville Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family to be designated at a later date.
