Robert William Waters

Robert William Waters was born January 16, 1933 in Monroe County, Iowa the son of Thomas and Bessie (Kraber) Waters.
He graduated from Lovilia High School in 1951. On September 12, 1952 Bob was united in marriage to Viola “Bea” Mefford in Lovilia. In the early years, Bob ran movie theaters, and worked for Maytag. He owned and operated Roto-Rooter in Knoxville for 34 years, eventually starting Go-With-The Flow plumbing service. He loved the plumbing business and helping people. He would even go to work on holidays when people were in need.
In his spare time Bob enjoyed hunting and raising Britney spaniels.
Bob passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2017 at his home at the age of 84 years and 6 months.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Herman.
Those left to honor Bob’s memory include his wife, Viola “Bea”; daughter, Denise (Dennis) Deaver; 2 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Rosemary Ostby of Northglenn, Colorado and many other family members and friends.

Funeral services for Robert Waters, age 84 of Knoxville, will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at the Bybee & Davis Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Graceland Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Pella, Knoxville Fire & Rescue Unit or the Knoxville Police Department.
