Robert L Riggen

Robert Lynn Riggen was born February 8, 1956 in Waukegan, Illinois the son of Larry Berdett and Jean (Van Der Veer) Riggen.
Bob was raised in Illinois and as a young man he became a heavy equipment operator. He was a proud member of the Local 150 Operating Engineers and worked in the Chicago area until retirement. Prior to his retirement, Bob made Knoxville his home and helped care for his parents. On April 25, 1980 Bob was united in marriage to Kathleen (Mulcahy) Riggen.
Bob was an avid model airplane builder and collector and had dozens in his collection. He also enjoyed playing pool and antique cars. Bob was truly a jack of all trades; he could fix anything and was always available to lend a helping hand to family and friends.
Bob passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at his home, in Knoxville, at the age of 67 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Kathleen and sister, Linda Archer.
Those left to honor Bob’s memory include his children: Robert (Alicia) Ownbey, Summer (Jason) Brindza and Amber (John) Willer; fiancé, Glenda Bowerman; grandchildren: Mackenzie Smith (Logan), Payton Ownbey, Lucas Willer, Marek Brindza and Jace Brindza; brother, Larry, Jr. “Oscar” Riggen and many other family members and friends.
Memorials may be made to the family to be designated at a later date.
