Rick Dean Renard
April 6, 1966 — February 17, 2025
Rick Dean Renard was born April 6, 1966 in Oskaloosa, Iowa the son of Seraphin and Mary Madeline (Bailey) Renard.
Rick attended Twin Cedars Schools, and as a young man he worked in housekeeping at Broadlawns Hospital in Des Moines. He later became a cook and worked at Pizza Ranch. Rick was most recently employed as a cook for the Oskaloosa Care Center. He was proud of his work and enjoyed helping the elderly.
In his spare time, Rick enjoyed canoeing with friends and loved his pets. He was known as a neat freak by friends and family, but mainly as a great friend and brother.
Rick passed away Monday, February 17, 2025 at MercyOne, in Des Moines, at the age of 58 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Steve Renard and a sister, Eugenia Sanders.
Those left to honor Rick’s memory include his sisters: Judy Williams of Oskaloosa and Mary Conn of Melrose; brother, Larry (Sandy) Renard of Knoxville; friend, Brenda Bringman of Oskaloosa and many other family members and friends.
Rick has been cremated and private burial will be in Bellefountaine Cemetery in Tracy, Iowa.
