Richard Lee Hunt

Richard Lee Hunt was born May 26, 1939 in Knoxville, Iowa the son of Howard Venable Hunt and Irene (Kelly) Hunt.
He was raised in Knoxville and graduated with the Class of 1957. In addition to farming his entire life, Richard had worked for Brownie Hudson, the A.S.C.S. Office and drove a school bus for many years. On October 20, 1984 he was united in marriage to Donna Klingelhoefer at the First United Methodist Church in Knoxville.
Richard was a model railroad enthusiast and had a large collection of trains. Additionally in his spare time, Richard enjoyed singing at weddings, funerals and in the church choir.
Richard passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at the West Ridge Nursing & Rehab Center at the age of 76 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Those left to cherish Richard’s memory include his wife, Donna; children: Erick (Kim) of Waukee and Kelley Hunt of Santa Rosa, California; grandchildren: Brian, Brandon, Brittany and Brenna Hunt and many other family members and friends.
Funeral Services for Richard Hunt, age 76 of Knoxville, will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at the New Covenant Church at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in the Lincoln Cemetery. Visitation will begin after 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Bybee & Davis Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
