Rebecca Joan Price was born on September 13, 1948 in Indianola, Iowa, the daughter of Franklin and Iris (Caskey) Iddings.
The family lived in rural Pleasantville, Iowa where Becky attended Pleasantville Community Schools and where she graduated high school. Becky worked a number of years at what was then known as Bankers Life Insurance Company. She met William Price, while on a blind date, during her time working there; and the two were united in marriage on February 21, 1970. Becky for years while her boys were growing up, did childcare in their home. The couple made their home in Pleasantville, Iowa where the couple was blessed with two children. Later Becky would work for the State of Iowa in various depts. including the Dept. Of Vocational Rehabilitation and in the Office of General Services doing accounting and bookkeeping duties. She retired from her work there in 2006.
Becky was an active member of the United Methodist Church in Pleasantville where she taught Sunday school, was active in the women's group, and even took on lay ministry duties at times. In her spare time, Becky enjoyed spending time with family especially on trips to campgrounds near Osceola; Iowa and at the Hickory Ridge campground at Red Rock Lake where extended family would gather for fireside meals, card games, swimming and fishing. Becky also enjoyed trips to Clear Lake, Iowa for fishing and visiting with family there. Becky enjoyed sewing and, during her later years, enjoyed time spent with her sister, Kathy, and other family and friends at cabins at Lake Red Rock.
Becky passed away at home on Monday, June 6, 2022 at the age of 73 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Kathaleen (Iddings) Lamb and sister-in-law, Sharon (Price) (and Tom) Croxton.
Those left to cherish Becky's memory include her beloved husband, Bill Price; her children Aaron Price and Andrew Price. She is also survived by a brother, Larry and (Becky) Iddings, brothers-in-law, Steven Lamb, and Herb Price, and numerous nieces, and nephews.
