Ralph Zeck

Ralph Zeck was born October 16, 1929 in Fayetteville, Iowa the son of Ray Allen and Faye Anna (Veach) Zeck.
Ralph worked from the time he was a young man, mostly as a heavy equipment operator. On December 24, 1970 he was united in marriage to Shirley Carolyn Gilliland. The couple made their home in Melcher-Dallas most of their lives, until moving to Knoxville two years ago. Ralph worked for Zeck Brothers Construction, Peterson Construction and was a member of Union Local 235 prior to retirement. He enjoyed bowling and driving his church bus. He was a devout member of the Apostolic Church in Knoxville.
Ralph passed away Sunday, March 19, 2017 at the Knoxville Hospital and Clinics at the age of 87 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Carolyn; daughters: Ellen and Rhonda; siblings: Harry, Paul, Harold, Wayne, Clifford and Fern and a granddaughter, Kami.
Ralph is survived by his daughter, Fayetta (Dave) Cooper of Redfield, Iowa; 8 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.
A Memorial Service for Ralph Zeck, age 87 of Knoxville, will be held on Friday, March 24, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Apostolic Church. Memorials may be made to the family.
