Ralph Dean See

Ralph Dean See was born March 22, 1947 in Knoxville, Iowa the son of Harry and Marie (Verwers) See.
He was raised in Melcher and attended Melcher-Dallas schools. Ralph enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1964. On June 21, 1965 he was united in marriage to Linda Rae Cummings. The couple lived in Pleasantville for a couple of years before moving to Melcher in 1972. Ralph was honorably discharged from the Marine Corps in 1968. He was a nursing assistant at the V.A. Medical Center until his retirement in 2002.
In his spare time, Ralph enjoyed fishing with his grandkids and boys and was an avid Hawkeye Fan.
Ralph passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at his home at the age of 68 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Wesley Dean See and brother, Ronnie See.
Those left to mourn Ralph’s passing include his wife, Linda; son, William R. See of Des Moines; 3 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; siblings: Bertha Harlow of Dallas, Iowa, Shirley Bingham of Dallas, Iowa, Rick See of Knoxville, Richard See of Knoxville and Nancy Harlow of Moberly, Missouri and many other family members and friends.
Graveside Memorial Services for Ralph See, 68 of Melcher, will be held on Monday, June 15 at the Gosport Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Military Honors will be accorded. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Online condolences may be left at BertrandFuneralHomes.com.
