Philip Ronald Clark was born November 25, 1941 in Pleasantville, Iowa the son of Orien and Laura (Beem) Clark.
He graduated from Pleasantville High School with the Class of 1960. Phil farmed in the Pleasantville area his entire life. He also served his country in the Army National Guard from 1963-1969. On November 16, 1991 Phil was united in marriage to Darlene Van Ness at the Christian Church in Pleasantville. Phil and Darlene always enjoyed camping at the Iowa State Fair and for the past several years, wintering in Phoenix.
Family was the most important part of Phil’s life, with a love of the land and farming a close second. The two things were usually combined, with Phil working side-by-side with the boys. He truly loved working the land - on an International Tractor. He also saw the beauty of nature in the mountains. Phil enjoyed NASCAR, especially he and Darlene’s visit to the Hall of Fame. Everything that brought joy to Phil’s life involved his family, whom he cherished.
Phil passed away on Monday, August 4, 2014 at the Knoxville Area Community Hospital at the age of 72 years.
