Paulyne Raver was born December 2, 1926 in Galt, Missouri to Alvin Augustus Reynolds and Edra Mae (Turner) Reynolds.
She was raised in Des Moines, Iowa and was a graduate of East High School. In 1945, Paulyne was united in marriage to James Edward Raver and the couple happily resided in Des Moines. Paulyne took great pride during her employment at Kidman Feeds and American Legion, while also owning a bar and restaurant. In 1993, Paulyne and Jim moved to Pleasantville, where she began her 15+ year journey with Casey’s and later for Ampride.
Paulyne thoroughly loved to work, read novels, spend time with her family and most of all, being Nana.
On Monday, March 13, 2017, Nana passed away at the Pleasant Care Living Center at the age of 90 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James; son, Jimmy; brother, Chester Reynolds; sister, Betty De Carlo; grandson, Trent Keeney and son-in-law, Tom Robbins.
Paulyne is survived by children: Linda Robbins, Bette Jo Keeney and Cynthia (Scott) Bickel; grandchildren: Tammi (Tony) Brown, Josh (Heather) Robbins, Travis (Shantelle) Keeney, Troy (Tiffany) Keeney, Shannon Keeney, Jessica (Tyler) Till and Rachel Bascom; 19 great-grandchildren and many other family members and friends.
A memorial service for Paulyne Raver, age 90 of Pleasantville, will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mason Funeral Home in Pleasantville, Iowa. A luncheon will follow at the Pleasantville Memorial Hall. Memorials may be made to the Pleasantville American Legion Post No. 108 Scholarship Fund.
