Paula Joan Brown

Paula Joan Brown was born September 22, 1951 in Indianola, Iowa. She was the daughter of Paul and Gladys Cline. She grew up in Pleasantville, Iowa and graduated from there in 1970. Joan was united in marriage to Darwin E. Brown on April 9, 1978. Joan loved being a mother to her three kids Kevin, Kristi and Jennifer.
Joan was an active member of the Indianola Church of Christ. She took pride in developing and maintaining the church library. Joan was known in the community for her talent of decorating cakes. She loved researching genealogy and documented family history for future generations. Joan deeply loved her grandchildren and devoted her time to caring for them.
Joan had a heart for helping others and provided many meals and gifts of encouragement. She was passionate about sharing Christ’s love and helping those less fortunate through Operation Christmas Child.
Joan loved big family holidays, with Christmas being her favorite. She never missed an opportunity to spend time with those she loved. She enjoyed her trips to Branson and shopping at The Brass Armadillo.
Joan passed away on June 25, 2018 at the age of 66 years.
Those left to honor her memory include her loving husband Darwin; children: Kevin (Angela) Brown, Kristi (Barry) Kreinbring, and Jennifer (Nicholas) Johnston; 8 grandchildren: Zachary and Cassandra Brown, Courtney, Cameron and Braydon Kreinbring, Jerin (Nathaniel) Young and Kaden and Kylie Johnston; her brother-in-law Duane (Barbara) Brown; her lifelong best friend Karen Clark-Allen; in addition to her nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Richard and Arden Cline, and a great nephew.
