A funeral for Patricia A. Richards, age 78 of Knoxville, will be held on Wednesday, December 21 at 2:00 p.m. at the Apostolic Church. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in the Graceland Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Apostolic Church. Patricia Ann Richards was born September 18, 1938 in Knoxville, Iowa the daughter of John Edward Richards and Catherine Evelyn (Brown) Richards.
Patty has lived her entire life in Knoxville. As a young woman she was a live in caretaker for her grandmother. She then worked at the Knoxville Rest Home for 30 years prior to her retirement. In her retirement years, Patty was a babysitter for working moms.
Patty passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Accura Healthcare (Griffins) at the age of 78 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Those left to cherish Patty’s memory include her siblings: Donna Richards of Knoxville; David (Judy) Richards of Indianola and Daniel Richards of Fridley, Minnesota; nephew, John Richards; niece, Stephanie Wilson; great nieces and nephews and many other family members and friends.
