Patricia Ann (Lyon) Collins

Patricia Ann (Lyon) Collins was born December 8, 1948 in Pleasantville, Iowa the daughter of Avery and Frances Helen (Vinson) Lyon.
Patty graduated from Pleasantville High School with the Class of 1967. She worked for Blue Cross for several years and later moved to Oklahoma. Patty lived in the Tulsa and Broken Arrow areas for several years and attended Rhema Bible College and worked in local nursing homes. She later returned to Iowa and worked at the Carlisle Care Center and was currently employed at the Pleasant Care Center in Pleasantville.
Patty was a deeply religious person, with a good sense of humor and a love for her pets. She always put other people ahead of herself and never forgot to acknowledge a birthday, Christmas or other important event in a friend or family member’s life.
Patty passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at her home at the age of 73 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Michael and Tommy.
Those left to cherish Patty’s memory include her siblings: Peggy (Lyon) Hotovec, Bob and wife Teresa Lyon and Jack Lyon; many nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.
Patty has been cremated and a private graveside service and Celebration of Life will be determined at a later date. Memorials may be given to the Marion County Humane Society.
