Patricia Marie Harvey

Patricia Marie Harvey was born May 20, 1941 in Oregon, the daughter of Harold and Roberta (Barnes) Russell.
Pat was raised in a variety of locations around the world since her father was in the Air Force as a career serviceman. On June 16, 1958 Pat was united in marriage to Marvin Dean “Sonny” Harvey. From that union, they had four children: Stephanie (L. David) Brooks, Nadine (Mark) Vickroy, Wesley “Rusty” Harvey and Michael Harvey. The young family moved all over the United States as Sonny was a career serviceman in the Air Force. After his retirement in 1974, the family settled in Pleasantville, Iowa. Pat worked in the Marion County Treasurer’s Office for over 20 years prior to her retirement.
In her spare time, she enjoyed camping, sewing, quilting, and spending time with her grandkids and great- grandkids. Family was Pat’s greatest joy in life.
Pat passed away Monday, July 29, 2024 at the Kavanagh House, in Des Moines, at the age of 83 years.
In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her husband Sonny, her daughter, Stephanie Brooks; Son-in- Law, L. David Brooks and son, Michael.
Those left to cherish Pat’s memory include her daughter, Nadine (Mark) Vickroy; son, Wesley “Rusty” Harvey; 6 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Karen Montell and many other family members and friends.
Private family burial will be held for Pat and no services are planned.
