Owen Robert Breding

Owen Robert Breding was born September 8, 1989 in Concord, California the son of Robert and Shandra (Campbell) Breding.
Owen, or “Big O”, as he was known by his friends graduated from Antioch High School in Antioch, California in 2007. Owen has always worked in the food industry and spent many years in sales while living in California. In 2016 Owen and his family moved to Iowa. While working at the Pizza Ranch in Newton, Owen met the love of his life, Hannah Young. Most recently, Owen has worked for Casey’s.
In his spare time, Owen enjoyed sports, especially playing golf and watching the San Francisco Giants. Big O had a great sense of humor and liked to make people laugh. He had soft spot for his cats, Wally and Shaggy. Spending time with Hannah, Jesse Gomez and his family was the greatest joy for Owen.
Owen passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at his home, in Knoxville, Iowa at the age of 34 years.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Colin Campbell and paternal grandparents, Owen Breding and Harriet Hall.
Those left to cherish Owen’s memory include his fiancé, Hannah Young; parents, Shandra and Robert Breding; sister, Shelby Breding (Scott Troendle); nieces, Aaliyah and Myriah Breding; maternal grandmother, Mary Jo Campbell; special aunts, Bevie (Jim) and Barb (Bruce) and many other uncles, aunts, cousins, other family members and friends.
A Celebration of Life for Owen “Big O” Breding, age 34 of Knoxville, will be held at Robert and Shandra Breding’s home (921 146th Avenue – Knoxville, IA 50138) Saturday, October 14, 2023 beginning at 2:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Marion County Humane Society.
