Norman Lee Milledge, of Pleasantville, Iowa, was born January 24, 1937 in Harvey, Iowa and passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017 at the Knoxville Hospital & Clinics.
He was the oldest of four children born to Floyd and Ruth (Geery) Milledge. Norman graduated from Tracy High School and then attended William Penn College in Oskaloosa, Iowa. While in college he was drafted to play baseball by the Cleveland Indians. In 1957 Norm was united in marriage to Mary Johnston and they were happily married for 60 years. They had three boys: Dan (Mona), Mark (Bobbi) both of Pleasantville and Jon (Beth) of Winterset, Iowa. They have 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren with another on the way. Norm worked for United Foods and then the USDA for 37 years before he retired
He loved to take care of his yard, garden, hunt with his bird dogs, fish, golf and play cards with his friends. Norm was also an avid Hawks and Cubs fan. He was always there to watch and support his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whether it was dancing, wrestling, basketball, fishing, or just going to the playground.
Norm was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and siblings: Larry (Olive) Milledge, Judy Moore and Susan (Ray) Stone and many nieces and nephews.



A Memorial Service for Norm Milledge, age 80 of Pleasantville, will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mason Funeral Home. Visitation will begin after 12:00 p.m. Wednesday at Mason Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pleasantville Little League.
