Norma Maxine Jean Brent was born September 9, 1930 in Tracy, Iowa the daughter of Charles and Mary Ellen (O’Connor) Fryer.
She graduated from Tracy High School. On November 7, 1948 Maxine was united in marriage to John James Robuck at the Tracy United Methodist Church. The couple farmed and Maxine worked as a bookkeeper at the Ford Garage in Knoxville. She later worked in the auditing department of Principal Financial for 20 years, retiring in 1993. Following John’s death, Maxine married Fred Edmund Brent in 1979.
In her spare time, Maxine liked to go to tea rooms for lunch with her friend and stop in at Prairie Meadows. She was also an avid reader and enjoyed shopping. She was a long time Hawkeye fan and received a football signed by Hayden Fry at her retirement party. Maxine was a life member of the Eastern Star. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially the grandkids.
Maxine passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2016 at the Comfort House, in Pella, at the age of 85 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands: John and Fred and her siblings: Don Fryer, Charles Fryer and Thelma Spaur.
Maxine is survived by her children: Pamela Rae Zoutte of Lynchburg, Virginia; Dale John Robuck of Golden, Colorado and Glenn Charles Robuck (Staci) of Knoxville; 5 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and many other family members and friends.


Maxine has been cremated and a graveside memorial service will be held at a later date at Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville. Memorials may be made to the Comfort House of Pella or to HCI Care Services.
