Nellie Mae Boucher

Nellie Mae Boucher was born August 18, 1966 in Knoxville, Iowa the daughter of Lee and Anna (Lankford) Boucher.
Nellie was raised in Knoxville and graduated from Knoxville High School in 1986. She had worked at Westridge Nursing and the Red Carpet Inn as a housekeeper. More recently, Nellie worked at the Dairy Queen. She worked hard and enjoyed life.
Nellie enjoyed being outside even if she was just going for a drive. She also had a green thumb and tended to many plants. Nellie’s greatest joy was spending time with her family and her dog, Shorty.
Nellie passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at the Pella Regional Health Center at the age of 57 years.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lee and brothers, John and Oscar Boucher.
Those left to cherish Nellie’s memory include her children: Thomas (Sara) Bates, Anna (Brian) Holzapfel and Daniel Pettyjohn; grandchildren: Gracie, Emmie and Noah Bates and Lily, Madelyn and Blake Holzapfel; mother, Anna Minard and many other family members and friends.
A Memorial Visitation for Nellie Boucher, age 57 of Knoxville, will be held Friday, October 13, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Bybee & Davis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the family to be designated later.
