Natalie Mae Fouch was born June 11, 1930 in Belleville, Kansas the daughter of Forrest and Opal (Lakey) Scharf.
Natalie was raised in Altoona, Iowa and graduated from Altoona High School. She then enrolled in nursing school at Iowa Methodist Hospital, in Des Moines. She graduated with an R.N. degree and went to work at the V.A. Hospital in Knoxville, Iowa. On November 8, 1952 Natalie was united in marriage to Clyde Gordon Fouch at the Methodist Church in Altoona. They made their home on a farm outside of Pleasantville, Iowa. She retired in the early 1990’s after thirty-two years of service.
In her spare time, Natalie enjoyed gardening and quilting. She and Clyde also enjoyed traveling all over the world.
Natalie passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at the Davis County Hospital, in Bloomfield, Iowa, at the age of 86 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents Forrest and Opal Scharf and her husband, Clyde Fouch.
Those left to cherish Natalie’s memory include her children and their families: Jane Kruger of Knoxville; Elizabeth Kruger and her family: Jimmy and Oskar, Matthew Kruger; Jim (Deb) Fouch of Pleasantville and their family: Jera (Lonnie) Herwehe , Josie, Ethan (Kendra) Fouch and Ryder and Zayden; Mike (Janice) Fouch of Pleasantville and their family: Heather Dishman, Samantha Dishman, Silvia Fouch, Laura Fouch (Cody Smith) and Jackson, Kinsley, Remi and Quinlyn and Steve (Vicki) Fouch of Pleasantville and their family: Hagen Fouch and Grant Fouch and many other family members and friends.
A Visitation for Natalie Fouch, age 86 of Pleasantville, will begin after 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Mason Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pleasantville EMS.
