Mollie Madge Alcorn

Mollie Madge (Freeman) Alcorn was born June 16, 1957 in Springfield, Missouri to Margaret R. Horsman and Dwight F. Freeman. She passed on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at her home in Pleasantville, Iowa surrounded by loved ones.
Mollie grew up in Indianola, Iowa and graduated from Indianola High School in 1976. Mollie made friends quickly and easily and spent her life doing what she could for both family and friends.
Mollie’s pride and joy in life were her children and her grandchildren. She will be missed by her 3 children, Jonathon Oxford, Danelle Ackelson (Brian Miller), and Jacqueline (T.J.) Alcorn; her grandchildren Nevada, Cherokee, Alexis, Isabel, Haley, Jemma, and Zane.
In addition, Mollie is survived by her father Dwight (Marcie) Freeman, brother Michael Freeman, uncles Harold Horsman, Joseph Horsman, Austin Freeman, and Don (Linda) Freeman. Mollie is also survived by cousins Jacquie Hodgson, Rodney Horsman, Pam Mohr, Dan Dykstra, Dwayne Dykstra, Monty Freeman, Caryn Young, Bruce Freeman, Doyle Freeman, David Freeman, and Brad Freeman.
Those who proceeded Mollie in death include her mother, Margaret Horsman, as well as grandparents Court and Lola Horsman and Floyd and Dorothy Freeman and by her aunts Juanita Dykstra and Barb Freeman.
No formal service is planned.
There will be a private gathering of family and friends to celebrate Mollie’s life.
