Michael Ryan Pinegar passed away unexpectedly on September 3, 2024 at the age of 35, as a result of a motorcycle accident. Our family was not expecting Michael’s life to be cut so short so soon. We are devastated by this huge loss and he will forever be missed. He was born with a naturally sweet and kind soul, a heart of gold, brilliant blue eyes, and a big smile for everyone he met. He was a true joy to be around.
Michael was born at Penrose Community Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Monte Pinegar and Jennifer (Anderson) Jenkins on May 18, 1989. An adventurer from the very beginning, he called many Army bases his home all before the age of 10.
Michael was a man of many talents. He liked to draw and found contentment in his art at an early age, earning awards and additional art classes. He played sports; football, baseball, basketball and even enjoyed mutton busting at the El Paso County Fair.
Michael also had a spiritual side. He loved God and served him by participating in several mission trips both close to home and, when called upon, away from his home and family. Michael was baptized at his church, Mountain View Wesleyan, on November 4, 2001 in Colorado Springs.
Michael’s life’s work was working on cars. He especially loved working on older cars. He always had a vision of what an old car could be with a little bit of hard work and love.
Michael was a die-hard Iowa Hawkeyes and Denver Broncos fan and preferred to wear those colors over most.
Michael was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Don and Roberta “Birdie” Anderson, Colorado Spring, CO, and uncle Douglas McIntyre, Colorado Springs, CO.
