Michael Wallace Harvey

Michael Wallace Harvey was born September 6, 1964 in Glasgow, Montana the son of Marvin Dean “Sonny” and Patricia Marie (Russell) Harvey.
As a boy, Mike’s family moved a lot as his father, Sonny was in the Air Force. Mike graduated from Pleasantville High School with the Class of 1983. He spent most of his working years in a carpet warehouse, cutting and prepping carpet for installation.
In his spare time, Mike enjoyed being outside, particularly fishing and camping. His greatest joy was spending time with family and friends, he was especially proud of his grandchildren.
Mike passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, in Des Moines, at the age 57 years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Sonny and sister and brother-in-law, Stephanie and David Brooks.
Those left to cherish Mike’s memory include his mother, Pat Harvey of Pleasantville; daughter, Megan (Kevin) Griffith of Des Moines; grandchildren: Lennon, Posie and Finnick Griffith; siblings: Nadine (Mark) Vickroy and Rusty Harvey and numerous other family members and friends.
Mike has been cremated and no services are planned. Memorials may be directed to the Pleasantville Youth Initiative.
