Megan Ashley Young was born March 16, 1983 in Iowa City, Iowa the daughter of William T. and Paula (Van Gundy) Young.
She was raised in the Lone Tree, Iowa area and graduated from Lone Tree High School. She has lived in the Iowa City and Lamoni areas and most recently in Knoxville, Iowa. In her spare time, Megan enjoyed cooking and staying in touch with family and friends through social media.
Megan passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at her home, in Knoxville, at the age of 40 years.
Survivors include her parents: Paula Van Gundy of Knoxville and William Young of Iowa City; children: Ashton Maunderer of Cedar Rapids, Leta Van Gorp of Pella and Evelena Pearl Mae Newman of Knoxville; aunts and uncles: David Van Gundy, Hannah Van Gundy, Madie Van Gundy and Braden Tallman and many other family members and friends.
Megan has been cremated and services will be announced at a later date.
