Matthew Reed Miller

Matthew Reed Miller was born May 18, 1989 in Iowa City, Iowa the son of Trisha Jill Hagen and Daniel Carl Miller.
Matt was raised in Knoxville and graduated in 2007. He had an amazing work ethic, whether he was raking his Grandma’s leaves or working at Joe’s Crab Shack or Spectators. He loved to tinker and had a passion for music, especially rap. Matt was the type of person that never knew a stranger and would give anyone in need the shirt off his back. He was an amazing father to Riley, Alexa and Ethan and a loving uncle.
Matt passed away Monday, November 16, 2020 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital, in Des Moines, at the age of 31 years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel; brother Jonathan in 1987 and maternal grandparents, Richard and Jill Hagen.
Those left to cherish Matt’s memory include his children: Riley Mumford, Alexa Miller and Ethan Miller; mother, Trisha Hagen (Sara Snyder); sister, Sarah Miller (Aaron Allen); paternal grandparents, John and Ellen Miller and many other family members and friends.
A Celebration of Life for Matt Miller, age 31, will be held Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Auld Park, in Knoxville, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Words of Remembrance will be held at 3:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to the family.
