Matthew Vincent Hicks was born June 25, 1958 in Washington, DC the son of James Vincent and Kathryn Ann (Kading) Hicks.
He was raised in Knoxville, Iowa and graduated with the Class of 1976. Matt operated Matt Hicks Construction, primarily doing home remodel and repair work. In his spare time, Matt enjoyed auctions and collecting antiques.
Matt passed away Monday, October 12, 2020 at his home at the age of 62 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Those left to mourn Matt’s passing include his sister, Debra (Phil) Holloway and brother, Jim Hicks all of Knoxville and many other family members and friends.
A Visitation for Matt Hicks, age 62 of Knoxville, will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 17, 2020 at the Bybee & Davis Funeral Home. Matt has been cremated and private burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.
