Mary Ann Emal

Mary Ann Emal was born December 4, 1955 in Des Moines, Iowa the daughter of Walter Lee Hayes and Dorothy June (Curry) Hayes.
She was raised in Pleasantville, where she graduated from High School. Mary worked for many years at Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Iowa. In later years she was an aid for the special education department at Des Moines Public Schools. In her spare time, Mary enjoyed country music and her cats, Pumpkin and Sassy. She also enjoyed singing.
Mary passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at Mercy Hospice, in Johnston, Iowa, at the age of 66 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Michael Allen Emal.
Those left to cherish Mary’s memory include her siblings: Butch (Marilyn) Hayes, Don (Rita) Hayes, Virginia (Jerry) Roff and Patty Hayes and many other family members and friends.
Mary has been cremated and no services are planned.
