Marilee Ann Cook passed away of cancer Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, IA. Marilee was born October 3, 1950 to James L. & Edith (Dyer) Davis.
She graduated from Pleasantville High School in 1970. Marilee worked for Blue Cross/Blue Shield, as a secretary for East Elementary, and for the State of Iowa before retiring.
She was born to be a loving mother and grandmother. Her children and grandchildren were her whole world. She was always a country girl at heart and loved being on the farm with her many cats, dogs, and horses. She was the best sister ever and kept life interesting with her views on the world. Those who were lucky enough to know her were indeed blessed, she had a heart of gold and would help anyone, anytime, with anything.
Marilee was preceded in death by her mother, father and one son, Jason.
She is survived by her daughter, April & Wes Seuferer; son, Matt & Jen May and son, Cody Cook & Kristine Phanes; grandchildren: Gabe & Peyton Seuferer and Madison & Hayden May; siblings: James (Linda) Davis of Keosauqua, Iowa and Jane Graves of Desoto, Texas and many other family members and friends.
Anyone who knew Marilee will have a good story to tell.
Marilee has been cremated and no services are planned. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the Webb Shadle Library.
