Maggie Lea Morris was born February 26, 2003 in Knoxville, Iowa the daughter of Dennis and Julie (Cook) Morris.
Maggie was raised in Knoxville until moving to Oskaloosa with her Father two years ago. She was currently a sophomore at Oskaloosa High School. Maggie was active in sports including swimming and golf, but her passion was softball. Maggie was a talented pitcher and pitched for many teams across the state of Iowa. Maggie’s greatest asset in life and sports was the fact that she was an extremely motivated and determined person. She also had a strong work ethic on and off the field; she was a hostess at Wood Iron Grill and was interviewing for a second job. The most important thing in Maggie’s life were her family and friends. She and her Dad shared a unique, inseparable bond; they were best friends. She had a contagious laugh, and a bright smile that lit up the room. Maggie always dreamed of working in the medical field one day, and loved to help others with any chance she got.
Maggie passed away due to unexpected medical complications on Monday, March 4, 2019 at the University of Iowa Hospital & Clinics at the age of 16 years.
