Lorane Neva Mathews Breuklander passed away December 31, 2020 in Ankeny, Iowa. She was born December 5, 1933 on her grandparents’ farm in rural Bussey. She was the oldest of four kids.
Lorane worked as a CNA for years doing home health care. She also volunteered at West Ridge Nursing in Knoxville and was very active in the Living Word Fellowship Church. She eventually moved to Des Moines to be closer to her daughter and son-in-law, Treasa and Bruce Coxe. She worked at Iowa Methodist Medical Center and attended Kingsway Fellowship International and received her certificate of Ordination on October 31, 1996 as a minister of the Gospel. In later years, Lorane resided at Sunny View Care Center in Ankeny.
Lorane is survived by her daughter, Treasa and husband Bruce Coxe; grandson, David Shore; two great-grandchildren, Emmy and Anon; brother, Ray Mathews; nephew, Michael Mathews and family; niece, Amie Davie and her family; niece, Diane Thomas Baugh and family and great-niece, Kelly Jo Brown and family.
She was preceded in death by her son, Vernon McKinsey; parents, Chet and Neva Mathews; sisters: Eva Mathews Minard and Rozella Mathews; nephew, Jackie and niece, Penny.
