Linda P. Wild

Linda P. Wild was born January 11, 1944 in Des Moines, Iowa the daughter of Walter and Dorothy (Woodruff) Oliver.
Linda was raised in the Lacona and Chariton areas and graduated from Chariton High School with the Class of 1962. Following high school, she worked for Look Magazine in Des Moines. On February 1, 1968 Linda was united in marriage to Edward Wild, Jr. The couple first made their home in the Des Moines area before moving to Pleasantville 39 years ago. Linda operated an in-home daycare for many years.
In her spare time she enjoyed flower gardening, bird watching and all of nature’s beauty. Her real passion was taking care of others.
Linda passed away on Friday, August 11, 2017 at the Comfort House, in Pella, at the age of 73 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Jerry, Charlotte and Bill.
Those left to cherish Linda’s memory include her husband, Ed; daughter, Wendy Wild; son, Edward Wild III (Sherry Mull); grandson, Trenton Wild; step grandson, Jaxx Lovell; honorary grandson, Ryker Lange; brothers, Dennis (Laura) Oliver of Milo; Tom Oliver of Glenwood and many other family members and friends.
Graveside Memorial Services for Linda Wild, age 73 of Pleasantville will be held on Wednesday, August 16 at 10:30 a.m. at the Pleasantville Cemetery. A luncheon will follow at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, in Pleasantville. In lieu of flowers memorials may be designated for Trenton Wild’s Education Fund. Mason Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
