Linda Colleen Goering
April 18, 1947 — May 16, 2023
Linda Colleen Goering was born April 18, 1947 in Sandyville, Iowa the daughter of James and Eloise (Enyart) Kirkpatrick.
She attended country school before graduating from Indianola High School. On July 23, 1965 she was united in marriage to Frank Goering. The couple made their home in the Sandyville area and Linda worked at People’s Bank in Indianola. She retired after 29 years of service.
Linda and Frank enjoyed camping for over 50 years at the Iowa State Fair. She also liked flower gardening and decorating for the holidays. She loved spending time with her family, especially hosting holiday meals.
Linda passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at Accura of Pleasantville at the age of 76 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Eloise and siblings: Audrey Hunerdosse, Wanda Cooper, Lester Kirkpatrick and Marvin Kirkpatrick.
Those left to cherish Linda’s memory include her husband, Frank; children: Gina Lindberg, Melissa Collins and Jerrod (Christina) Goering; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sisters: Barb Cooper and Kathy Fortune and many other family members and friends.
Memorials may be made to the family to be designated at a later date.
