Larry Allen Mosher was born April 22, 1943 in Van Nuys, California the son of Raymond and Lois (Wilkins) Mosher.
Larry was raised in Marion County, primarily in the Pleasantville area. He graduated from Melcher-Dallas with the Class of 1961. Larry first worked for United Grocery in the meat department and then for the V.A. At the age of 20, Larry began working for John Deere, in Ankeny. He worked in maintenance and as a welder. On May 9, 1975, Larry was united in marriage to Bonnie at the Pleasantville Christian Church. In 1993 he retired from John Deere. Larry had also served as a Police Officer for the City of Pleasantville and on the Marion County Sherriff’s Reserve.
In his spare time, Larry enjoyed camping boating and woodworking. He will be remembered as a people person who was always ready with a smile and a joke.
Larry passed away on Monday, June 8, 2015 at the Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines at the age of 72 years.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Bonnie, children: Leslie Mosher of Des Moines, Kenneth Eugene Simbro, Jr. (Julie) of Chilhowee, MO, Alan (Marlene) Mosher of Virginia Beach, VA, Christine (Darren) Thomson of Maxwell, IA, and Kevin (Jen) Mosher of Urbandale; 13 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; siblings: Don (Barb) Mosher of Topeka, KS, Linda (Jerry) McCullough of Bondurant, Jack (Bonita) Mosher of Pleasant Hill, Bonnie (Gary) DeMaria of Knoxville, Deb (Jim) Fouch of Pleasantville, and Tony (Toni) Mosher of Prairie City, and many other family members and friends.

Larry will be cremated following the service and burial will be Pleasantville Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the Pleasantville E.M.S. or the Pleasantville Fire Department.
The family invites relatives and friends to Memorial Hall for refreshments following the service.
