Kim LeRoy Bybee was born March 11, 1952 in Knoxville, Iowa the son of Lionel Lee Bybee and Betty Jane (Carpenter) Bybee.
He attended Hartford Consolidated School and graduated from Pleasantville High School. During his school years, Kim especially enjoyed track and science class. Kim later attended an offset printing course in 1981 and became a certified orderly in 1982. His first job was working as a lab technician for Bonine Film. Kim later worked for the City of Pleasantville Parks during the summer and delivered feed for Pleasantville Feed & Grain in the winter. He would later work for the Good Samaritan Care Center in Indianola and Kimberly Nursing Service in West Des Moines as an orderly.
In his spare time, Kim liked working on the farm with his father and in later years with his brother, Larry. He also enjoyed mushroom hunting and watching movies.
Kim passed away on Friday, July 10, 2015 at his home at the age of 63 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Those left to cherish Kim’s memory include his siblings, Larry (Barb) Bybee of Pleasantville and Rosemary (Bob) Marsh of Manchester, Iowa; several nieces and nephews and many other family members and friends.
A funeral service for Kim Bybee, age 63 of Swan, will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mason Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville.
