Kenneth Herbert Lambert was born June 28, 1942 in Pleasantville, Iowa the son of Herbert and Lillian Delphine (Dixon) Lambert.
He graduated from Monroe High School with the Class of 1960. Kenneth lived in Chicago from 1960 to 1963. On October 4, 1963 Kenneth was united in marriage to Linda Kingery in Knoxville. The couple made their home in Monroe until moving to Knoxville in 2001. Kenneth worked in production at Maytag, in Newton, until his retirement in 1992. Following his retirement, Kenneth worked at Pella Car Care and later for the Hy-Vee in Knoxville.
He was a member of the United Auto Workers Local 997 and played in the Maytag Bowling League. He played slow pitch ball in Monroe for many years. He also enjoyed drag racing at Eddyville and was a member of the NHRA and IHRA drag racing association. He was a faithful member of the New Covenant Church in Knoxville.
Kenneth passed away Friday, May 8, 2020 at his home at the age of 77 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Delphine Lambert, in-laws, Walter and Tillie Kingery and daughter-in-law, Connie Lambert.
Those left to cherish Kenneth’s memory include his wife, Linda; sons, Mark (Susan) Lambert of Knoxville and Corey Lambert of Columbia; 3 grandchildren: Lacie (Trey Sathoff), Madison and Steven; 4 step-grandchildren: Ryan McCarty, Jared McCarty, Brooklyn Beal and Lilly Hildrith; in-laws: Gary and Carol Kingery, Steve and Judy Kingery, Mary Ann and Alvin Olivier, Judy and Mike Pitt, Carol and Danny Pearson and Renee and Rob Wallace and many other family members and friends.



A Memorial service for Kenneth Lambert, age 77 of Knoxville, will be held Friday, July 10, 2020 at the New Covenant Church at 10:30 a.m. Visitation will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at New Covenant Church. Memorials may be to the family to be designated at a later date.
