Keith Allen Lawrence

Keith Allen Lawrence was born October 10, 1962 in Winchester, Kansas the son of Floyd Eugene “Gene” Lawrence and Doris Marjorie (Spackman) Lawrence.
He was raised in Kansas and graduated from Tonganoxie High School. Following high school, he served in the Army. Through the years, Keith had worked as a CNA, for a meatpacker, for Colonial Bread and for the last 19 years at Firestone in Des Moines, Iowa. He moved to Des Moines, Iowa in 1991 with his first wife Allison, who passed away in 1993. On October 28, 2001 Keith was united in marriage to Deana Smith at Luther Park in Des Moines. The couple have always made their home in Pleasantville. Due to health concerns, Keith medically retired from Firestone in January of 2018.
In his spare time, Keith loved to read, crochet, travel and walk his dogs. He was full of spirit and had an excellent sense of humor, Keith was always a prankster and the life of the party.
Keith passed away on Friday, August 31, 2018 at the Mercy Medical Center, in Des Moines, at the age of 55 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Allison E. Lawrence in 1996.
Those left to cherish Keith’s memory include his wife, Deana; step-son, Robert Anderson of Ankeny; siblings: Sheryl (Gary) Crawford of Oskaloosa, Kansas and Kevin (Dyla) Lawrence of McLouth, Kansas; step-brother, Dale (Rhonda) Minear of Trafalgar, Indiana; two adopted nieces, Madison and Jamison Ceradsky and many nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.
A Funeral Service for Keith Lawrence, age 55 of Pleasantville, will be held on Friday, September 7, 2018 at the Mason Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in the Pleasantville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Mason Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the family for PVOD (Pulmonary veno-occlusive disease) research.
