Kay Diane Myers was born April 23, 1939 in Iowa City, Iowa the daughter of Roy and Gladys (Moore) Lenz.
Kay graduated from Iowa City High School and then worked at Herteen & Stocker Jewelry Store. On August 8, 1959 she was united in marriage to Pat Myers in Iowa City. The couple has lived in Pleasantville most of their married lives. Kay grew a beautiful rose garden every year and dutifully tended to the plants. She enjoyed the roses so much; she became a certified rose judge. Kay was also an avid Hawkeye Basketball fan. She very much enjoyed her and Pat’s home at the Lake of the Ozarks and socializing with their many friends.
Kay passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at her home in Camdenton, Missouri at the age of 74 years surrounded by her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents. Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Pat; son, Phil and daughter-in-law, Linda Myers; daughters: Susie Myers-Heathman and Kathy Myers all of Pleasantville; 6 grandchildren: Conner Myers, Halle and Lucas Myers, Hannah, William, and Benjamin Heathman; twin sister, Karen and brother-in-law, Terry Evans of Springville, Iowa and many other family members and friends.
