Kathryn Mae Hollingsworth

Kathryn Mae Hollingsworth was born May 2, 1938 in Ivy, Iowa the daughter of Wilbur and Marie (Snetselaar) Stemler.
Kathy graduated from Pleasantville High School. She worked at the Knoxville V.A. Medical Center in administration for 30 years prior to retirement. Kathy and her husband, Frank also owned a bar in Pleasantville for several years. In her spare time, Kathy enjoyed reading, especially murder mysteries. Knitting and crocheting were a favorite pastime of Kathy’s and she had won many ribbons at the Warren and Marion County Fairs and at the Iowa State Fair. She also loved traveling around the U.S. and had been to Holland.
Kathy passed away Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Homestead Assisted Living, in Knoxville, at the age of 86 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Frank.
Kathy is survived by her son, Bruce and a sister, Patricia and many other family members and friends.
Kathy has been cremated and burial will be in Pleasantville Cemetery at a later date.
