Kairi LeeAnn Torres was born June 10, 2016 in Des Moines, Iowa the daughter of Alexander Miguel Torres and Billie Jo Watson.
Kairi has had health problems since her birth, but she showed resilience and a smile that lit up a room. She loved music and would dance when her favorite song was played. Kairi also liked watching the Lion Guard. Her stuffed elephants were always a comfort to Kairi.
Kairi left our world on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at the University of Iowa Hospital & Clinics.
Those left to cherish Kairi’s memory include her parents: Alex and Billie Jo; grandparents: Penny and Larry Rowen and David and Viola Albright; great-grandparents: Judy Klein, Jerry Klein; Charles and Sandra Klopp; Robert Albright and Rachel Dobson; great-great grandmother, Shirley Biddle and many aunts, uncles, cousins and other family members.

LITTLE ANGELS
When God calls little children
to dwell with Him above,
We mortals sometime question
the wisdom of His love.
For no heartache compares with
the death of one small child
Who does so much to make our world
seem wonderful and mild.
Perhaps God tires of calling
the aged to His fold,
So He picks a rosebud
before it can grow old.
God knows how much we need them,
and so He takes but few
To make the land of Heaven
more beautiful to view.
Believing this is difficult
still somehow we must try,
The saddest word mankind knows
will always be “Goodbye.”
So when a little child departs,
we who are left behind
Must realize God loves children,
Angels are hard to find.
