Jurline Mary “Jeri” Nicholson was born June 12, 1918 in Mystic, Iowa the daughter of John and Ella (Pahl) Greenwood.
She was raised in the Mystic area as a girl. In 1936 Jeri was united in marriage to Bill Nicholson. Shortly after their marriage, the couple moved to Pleasantville and began farming. The couple later owned a tank truck and service station in Pleasantville. Jeri and Bill worked together at the service station until they sold the business in 1975. Jeri then worked in housekeeping at Pleasant Care, in Pleasantville, for 20 years. Following retirement, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Jeri passed away on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at the Pleasant Care Living Center at the age of 97 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill and two brothers: Earl and Gail Greenwood.
Those left to cherish Jeri’s memory include her daughter, Barbara (Bob) McCullough of Pleasantville; son, John W. (Cathy) Nicholson of Dane, Wisconsin; sister, Imogene Deppe of Oxford Junction, Iowa; three grandchildren: Scott (Michelle) McCullough, Kathy Nicholson and John Nicholson, Jr.; three great-grandchildren: Hunter and Sierra McCullough and Heather Nicholson and many other family members and friends.

A memorial service for Jurline “Jeri” Nicholson, age 97 of Pleasantville, will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mason Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Pleasantville Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Pleasant Care Living Center.
