Joyce June Cox

Joyce June Cox was born December 28, 1925 in Monroe, Iowa the daughter of John and Lois Martha (Macy) Fouch.
Joyce graduated from Pleasantville High School with the Class of 1944. On July 31, 1946 she was united in marriage to Loren Donald Cox in Pleasantville, Iowa. The couple farmed in the Knoxville area for over 50 years. Joyce took great pride in being a farmer’s wife, she enjoyed gardening and taking care of the animals. She was also a devout Christian and enjoyed church and her church family. Following her husband’s death, Joyce moved to Clifton Hill, Missouri to be near her daughter, Donna, from 2004 to 2007. She returned to Knoxville in 2007.
Joyce passed away Saturday, July 28, 2018 at the Knoxville Hospital & Clinics at the age of 92 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don; son, John; grandson, Ryan; brothers: Darrell and Clyde Fouch and sister-in-law, Natalie Fouch.
Those left to cherish Joyce’s memory include her children: Ronnie (Sydney) Cox of Jasper, Arkansas, Gary (Lori) Cox of Carlisle, Iowa; Tom (Nancy) Cox of Knoxville; Linda (Tom) DeLong of Oskaloosa, Iowa and Donna (Jack) Kilgore of Clifton Hill, Missouri; 19 grandchildren; 8 step-grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Sara Beth Fouch of La Plata, Missouri; several nieces and nephews and many friends.
A funeral service for Joyce Cox, age 92 of Knoxville, will be held on Friday, August 3, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Bybee & Davis Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Graceland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday at Bybee & Davis Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to H.C.I. Care Services – Knoxville Office.
