John David Brandon

John David Brandon went to be with the Lord on November 14th, 2024 at the age of 79. Born in Marshall Missouri at Fitzgibbons Hospital the son of John and Yvonne Brandon. He was raised in Albia Iowa and graduated from Albia High School with the class of 1963. In the fall of 1963, he married his soulmate Lillie Mae McKay with whom he shared a passion for life for over 60 years. They lovingly raised 3 children together.

He retired in 1992 after 27 years at the Maytag Company and then operated Brandon Logging full time for the next 18 years.

David’s greatest joy in life was his family. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He shared his personal gifts of faith, intellect, and a passion for life with his family. He was deeply committed to New Covenant Church where he was a founding member for over 40 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents John and Yvonne Brandon and his wife, Lillie Mae (Mckay) Brandon. He is survived by his beloved children Jeff Brandon (Loretta), Jennifer Berry (Kent), Donny Brandon (Michelle). 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, 2 sisters Davida Tharp and Diane Major.
